Setting your email in Microsoft Outlook 2010

    1. Open Outlook 2010.
    2. Go to File -> Info -> Add Account.
Add a new account
    1. Select the "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" radio button and click "Next"
Select the Manually configure option
    1. Select the "Internet E-mail" radio button and click "Next".
Select the Internet E-mail option
    1. Enter the required information:
      • Your Name - The name you want to appear on outgoing email.
      • E-mail address - Your email address.
      • Account Type - Select "IMAP" or "POP"
        Note: Read Difference between POP3 and IMAP
      • Incoming mail server - This will be
        Non-SSL Settings: mail.yourdomain.com, where yourdomain.com is the domain of your email account
        Secure SSL/TLS Settings: server.teamdiscoverydns.co.uk
      • Outgoing mail server (SMTP) - This will also be
        Non-SSL Settings: mail.yourdomain.com, where yourdomain.com is the domain of your email account
        Secure SSL/TLS Settings: server.teamdiscoverydns.co.uk
      • User Name - This will be your full email address.
      • Password - Password for your email account.
Enter your account information.

    1. Click on "More Settings" :
      • General Tab - Type the name you prefer for the account.
      • Outgoing Server Tab - Checkmark the "My outgoing server(SMTP)..." to enable it and set "Use same settings as my incoming mail server.".
      • Account Tab - This varies if you choose "IMAP" or "POP". Set it appropriately
        • IMAP Port: 993 for SSL or 143 for Non-SSL
        • POP3 Port: 995 for SSL or 110 for Non-SSL
        • SMTP Port: 465 for SSL or 26 for Non-SSL
        Then checkmark the "This server requires an encrypted connection(SSL)" if you're using SSL connection type and set "User the following type of encrypted connection" to SSL otherwise leave it uncheck.
      • Click OK
Select the Internet E-mail option


  1. Click "Next".
  2. Click "Finish".
